Raised in Valley City, North Dakota, and currently residing in Wisconsin, Adam McRoberts, DC, MS (’23) has made significant strides in both his academic and professional life. A chiropractor by trade, Dr. McRoberts’ interest in wellness extends beyond his chiropractic practice, which led him to pursue a Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance (MSNHP) from Logan University in 2023.
Logan’s fully online program, coupled with its small faculty-to-student ratio and world-renowned professors, initially drew Dr. McRoberts to the university.
“My time at Logan exceeded expectations, not only in the quality of instruction but also in the connections I made with my peers and professors,” Dr. McRoberts said. “The kind and caring professors, along with the camaraderie with my online classmates, made the experience rewarding.”
Dr. McRoberts earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and completed his Doctor of Chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in sociology from Sam Houston State University in Texas. His diverse academic background uniquely positions him to provide holistic care for patients, combining his knowledge of sociology, chiropractic care and nutrition.
Dr. McRoberts practices in Wisconsin and says obtaining this master’s degree was a crucial step toward securing a nutritional certificate for chiropractors in the state.
“Clinically speaking, Logan’s MSNHP program provided me with extensive nutritional training, which I use daily with my patients,” he says. “I have recommended the DASH diet for blood pressure issues and certain supplements for a variety of needs, from fibromyalgia to PCOS.”
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. McRoberts is also active in research. In mid-September 2024, he published a study on epileptic seizures and nystagmus with Joel Alcantara in the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health Chiropractic. He has a pending manuscript with the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and is co-authoring a publication about fibromyalgia for the same journal.
In keeping with his own wellness, Dr. McRoberts is an avid Taekwondo practitioner and recently earned his second-degree Black Belt. He is also a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
With a diverse academic background, successful chiropractic practice and a growing body of research, Dr. McRoberts continues to impact the health and wellness of his community.
